Net Neutrality

Net neutrality is the idea that whoever provides your internet access wether it be Verizon, Comcast, or Time Warner should treat your internet traffic or packets of data the same way. In other words you can say that it's trying to create a neutral government. For the consumers this could mean faster download speeds and faster online streaming with big companies like Netflix or Hulu Plus. The Federal Communications Commission controls the neautrality over the internet.
Under there new rules companies are slowly closing in on striking some deals. The whole skiff over the Net neutrality will go into a vote on May 15th for a decision. Some negative effects that the consumers could eventually face is having to pay higher monthly fees. For instance if the companies that offer broadband to Netflix, down the road has premium packages could cost them more then from there they have to charge the consumers more. My opinion is that the Internet should stay the same because this net neutrality is garbage.
